Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the use of services provided by TaprobaneWalk (Private) Ltd., hereinafter referred to as "TaprobaneWalk," "we," or "our." By engaging in our services, you agree to comply with these Terms.

1. Contracting Parties

These Terms and Conditions form a legally binding agreement between the traveler(s) and TaprobaneWalk PVT Ltd. Any bookings, transactions, or agreements are legally recognized as contracts with TaprobaneWalk PVT Ltd.

2. Acceptance of These Terms

​

By confirming a booking with TaprobaneWalk, you acknowledge and accept these Terms and Conditions. Acceptance is deemed to occur when TaprobaneWalk issues a confirmation invoice.

3. Accommodation

​

All accommodation, room types, and specifications are as detailed in the itinerary. TaprobaneWalk strives to provide accommodations of the highest standard, but substitutions may occur due to circumstances beyond our control.

4. Meals

​

Meals are provided as specified in the itinerary. Any dietary restrictions should be communicated at the time of booking; however, availability of special dietary requirements cannot be guaranteed.

5. Transfers

​

Transfers are arranged as per the itinerary, typically including airport-to-hotel and return transfers. Any additional transfers requested by the traveler may be subject to additional charges.

6. Itinerary Changes

​

TaprobaneWalk reserves the right to alter itineraries due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather conditions, political events, or operational constraints. Every effort will be made to provide an equivalent or upgraded experience in such cases.

Should any significant changes affect the cost of the tour, TaprobaneWalk reserves the right to adjust pricing accordingly.

7. Special Requests

Any special requests, such as specific room types or seating preferences, must be made at the time of booking. While TaprobaneWalk will make every effort to accommodate such requests, they cannot be guaranteed.

8. Transportation

​

Transportation arrangements, including vehicle type and route, will be provided as specified in the itinerary. TaprobaneWalk is not liable for delays due to traffic, weather conditions, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.

9. Baggage

​

Baggage handling is provided as per the itinerary. Travelers are responsible for adhering to airline baggage restrictions and are encouraged to obtain travel insurance to cover lost or damaged baggage.

10. Taxes & Gratuities

​

All relevant taxes, including hotel and airport taxes where applicable, are included in the package price unless stated otherwise. Gratuities for guides, drivers, and service providers are not included and are left to the discretion of the traveler.

11. Exclusions

​

The following costs are not included in tour prices unless otherwise stated:

• Visa fees and passport costs

• Travel insurance

• Personal expenses (laundry, telephone calls, beverages, etc.)

• Optional activities not explicitly included in the itinerary

• International and domestic flights unless specified

12. Pricing & Arrangements

​

Prices include planning, handling, and operational charges. They are based on current exchange rates and tariffs and are subject to change due to fluctuations in currency values or other factors beyond TaprobaneWalk’s control.

13. Photography & Marketing

​

TaprobaneWalk reserves the right to capture photographs and videos during tours for promotional purposes. By booking a trip, travelers grant permission for their images to be used in marketing materials unless they opt out in writing before the tour begins.

Use of drones for photography or any other purpose is strictly prohibited unless prior permission is obtained from TaprobaneWalk and relevant authorities in Sri Lanka. More Info Civil Aviation Drones https://www.caa.lk/en/drones.

14. Security & Privacy

​

Some accommodations may have surveillance equipment for security purposes. If you have concerns regarding privacy, please inform TaprobaneWalk before your trip.

TaprobaneWalk follows strict data protection policies and will not share personal information with third parties without consent, except as required by law.

15. Activities & Excursions

​

Certain activities may be pre-arranged as part of the itinerary. Any additional excursions booked independently by the traveler are not the responsibility of TaprobaneWalk. Weather and environmental conditions may affect activity availability.

16. Payment & Registration

​

A non-refundable deposit of 10% of the total tour price is required to secure a booking. Full payment must be made no later than 60 days prior to departure. If the booking is made within 60 days of departure, full payment is required upon confirmation.

Payments can be made via:

• Credit card

• Bank transfer

• Cheque (subject to clearance)

TaprobaneWalk reserves the right to charge processing fees for certain payment methods.

17. Cancellation Policy

​

17.1 Cancellation by the Traveler

• More than 60 days before departure: Loss of deposit

• 30-59 days before departure: 50% of total cost

• Less than 30 days before departure: 100% of total cost

17.2 Cancellation by TaprobaneWalk In cases where TaprobaneWalk must cancel a tour, travelers will receive a full refund. However, we will not be responsible for costs incurred outside of the booking, such as non-refundable flights.

18. Force Majeure

​

TaprobaneWalk is not liable for delays, changes, or cancellations due to events beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, war, political instability, or airline failures. Travelers should obtain travel insurance to mitigate such risks.

19. Travel Documentation

​

Travelers are responsible for obtaining the necessary visas and ensuring their passports are valid for at least six months beyond the travel date. TaprobaneWalk is not liable for denied entries due to passport or visa issues.

20. Governing Law & Disputes

​

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes shall be resolved through arbitration in Sri Lanka before resorting to litigation.
